Four miniature paintings in a triple-thick mount with four openings with gold-bevelled edges.  Glazed with fillets in the frame's rebate to lift the glass.  The flat moulding was applied with gesso and inscribed with a repeating fleur-de-lys motif.  The frame was water gilded with 22 carat gold leaf and burnished.

The frame measures 34 x 34 cms.
